PomPom & Frieda

Hello Everyone.

WHO? you might say?
Well, let me tell you..actually, let me show you first:

These wonderful handmade knitted items are the wonderful creation of Judith Brinsley.
Judith lives in Sydney and has been following The Handmade Expo blog for quite sometime and as soon as Handmade Heaven came to life, Judith jumped on the opportunity to send her colourful items to me to display on her behalf.

From scarves to bags to booties and beanies, how could you seriously go past these. Something for boys and girls.
All of her creations are made from organic cotton, alpaca, bamboo and marino.

These items started selling before I even took them out of the box, so get in quick.

If you can't make it into Handmade Heaven and would like to purchase anything that you see, please email me at handmadeheaven@optusnet.com.au and we can talk about posting an item to you. I know we have some followers from ALL over Australia and would love to make them available to EVERYONE.

Thanks for reading.

Bright and Beautiful

Hi Everyone.

Well, today I had to close the shop for 1 hour to head to a TOP OF TOWN meeting. As you know (from me), The Old Flour Mill is part of the new and evolving TOP OF TOWN precinct. The shop owners and the Ipswich City Council get together once a month to discuss ways of promoting the TOP OF TOWN. So, I am now part of the committee and am very much looking forward to putting my ideas on the table and also listening to other great ideas as well. So, when new and fabulous things are finalised, you will all be the first to know.

I wanted to show off some Bright and Beautiful handmade goodies today.

Lynda has hand dyed these beautiful scarves and table clothes...also handpainted as well. These are bright, bold and beautiful. All shapes and sizes...you have to touch them and see them to believe the amount of work put into each individual item:

Jo Marshall has published these wonderful colouring in books. Just delightful:

Petra from Mooce Baby has created this beautiful little skirt. Polka Dots are SOOOO in at the moment plus don't forget the little head band to match:

Girls...check these out. These are for adults..not kids. They are just to die for and I believe every girl should have at least 1 pair in their draw:

Well, thats all from me for now.

DONT FORGET that The Handmade Expo is on this weekend. Saturday 8am-2pm at the Ipswich Showgrounds. Visit the blog for any further details.

See you tomorrow

We have had a few handmadies come in over the past couple of days and fill and refill their spaces with wonderful goodies.

Say hi to Amanda from Bodelicious. Wonderful assortment of multi-purpose baby products for busy mums who are always on the go. Bodelicious also offer a range of mummy to be products as well. They just look amazing:

Di Maloney is a fabulous artist. Words can not describe it and a picture speaks a thousands words (is that the saying! I am trying to be clever here)...Check these out:

Mark from Red Hot Wicks has bought in a range of essential oil blends for oil burners...They smell just as scrumptious as his candles which are very popular:

Robin has filled her space with her wonderful assortment of bright beaded jewellery. Once again, Robin has utilised her space very well. All sorts of shapes, sizes and colours. Something for everyone in Robin's space.

I just had to show off this beautiful little skirt from Bubba Chenille If I had a girl, she would be wearing the beautiful skirt made from upcycled chenille. Don't forget the buttons to go with it which can be made into hair clips or if you are handy, sew them onto a shirt to make a matching outfit. Sooooo cute. Bubba Chenille has a massive assortment of kids clothing/accessories and heatpacks...which seem to be a bit popular as well.

Melanie bought in some of her softies. Just loving them:

Karen has her beautiful assortment of scarves...they come in all shapes and colours and sizes. I thought that I would show them off on the front hanger...what a fab idea!

AND FINALLY

I got hold of this little beauty. If you would like to lease this space...this wonderful dress makers model, let me know as it is now up for lease...ALSO, lets get some names happening...What do you think her name should be?

That's all from me for now.

I am so excited to also show you my A Frame sign which was delivered to me by Gecko Signs They have done a fab sign and they will be doing more as the weeks go on to let people know that we are here to stay. I had to share with you these beautiful gift cards. They are only $1 each and I sold out in 2 days so I had to order some more off Lyn. They are just beautiful, unique and an inexpensive gift card idea.

First Handmade Heaven Blogging Experience

Ok, so it is certainly not the first time that I have blogged...however, it is the first time that I have blogged inside Handmade Heaven. Yes, I have my POOTY in and all ready to go. So, I am contactable via email during the day now too, which is very very exciting + I have the blogging bug and you will hear from my daily in my quite times of course.

DAy # 2 is amazing, I have had quite a few customers coming down looking, buying, enquiring. This is what it is all about. I am even needing to contact a few handmadies to say hey...come and put some more things in your space...which is what it is all about as well.

I just had to share a couple of wonderful things with you today.

First of all, my space divider. How wonderful is it...It hides the dreadful sink and also gives me a bit of storage room as well...Mitch painted it, I picked out the beautiful fabric and Mum (aka Miriam) sewed the panels together. I bought this antique room divider in one of the antique shops at The Top Of Town...Fabulous.

Check these out too...Micky decided to get crafty and make these beautiful material hearts. This is just one, but they will come in all sorts of colours and sizes. Micky STILL doesnt have a blog, but as soon as she gets one, you will all hear about it!

What is Handmade Heaven without handmade bikkies. Tina from More-ish has supplied her wonderful assortment of bikkies including choc chip, anzac and white choc. Come on down and grab a packet before they all dissapear.

I had a couple of beautiful visitors today, bringing in some wonderful treats...cupcakes. Di & Renee from Di-Licious Check these out. I wish I hadn't eaten them so quickly and had thought about taking a photo beforehand. SORRY!

A big thanks for following and hope to see you all soon
