I'm Back and ready for ACTION
Hi Everyone
Well, I am back on deck, full steam ahead. As you would all know, I did come down with the Flu which knocked me for 6. Thanks to Mum for looking after the shop for me on Thursday...I really appreciated it, as did many Customers and Handmadies too.
We have a new Handmadie gracing our shelves. Cathy from Peg & Kate. Cathy specialises in pencil rolls, however, she has her thinking cap on 24 7 and has come up with these awesome RETRO TOES. They clip onto the top of your shoes...they are amazing and have myself a pair...a wonderful gift from Cathy. They are an amazing creation. Handmade Heaven is exclusive stockists of this wonderful design. Come and grab yourself a pair before you miss out!!!

I would also like to let EVERYONE know that Wild Things of Noosa is having a sale on these funky bloomers. These ones are all reduced to $10 each. There are only a few left, so don't miss out on these either.

Don't forget that if you see something that you like over the blog, I am more than happy to do a transaction over email, etc. As I want everyone to have an opp to purchase handmade.
Now, we have a new addition to Handmade Heaven...another vintage suitcase (which is not for sale peoples)!!!. This space HAS been leased, but while we await the mystery HANDMADIE, I have adorned it with some beautiful handmade goodies. Check it out!

Oh, just had to share this with you as well. How could we go to Warwick for The Handmade Expo and not be in their paper. Loving it.

Well, thats all from me for now. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend...or what is left of it and I will be back on Tuesday filling your pages with more wonderful pictures and words.
Oh, before I forget, I would like to put something out there to you all. The Old Flour Mill is such a wonderful space that I would like to utilise for a get together. How would fellow bloggers/followers like to get together (after hours) in The Old Flour Mill. Let me know if you are interested and I will do some more investigation and organising.

Sick Sick Sick
Hello Everyone
So, as I type this, I am sitting on Mum's computer in Toowoomba. Why? Well, The Handmade Expo has a market in Warwick tomorrow...which we are super excited about. If you are not busy tomorrow, why not head to Warwick for the Jumpers & Jazz Festival. The Handmade Expo will be there at the Warwick Indoor Recreation & Aquatic Centre from 10am-4pm. Alot to see and do over the weekend of the Festival.
Why is this post called SICK...well, for the past 2 days my little man, Cooper has been unwell. Temps, runny nose...a bit of a head cold. He is on the mend which is nice to know considering I am out of town. So, the first small hurdle with my shop. What was I to do? Well, Micky, my sister came to the rescue on Thursday. A big thanks Mick for helping me out. Along came Friday hoping that Cooper would be ok to go to daycare, but I just couldnt do it, I just couldn't send him cause he was still unwell. Along came Amanda from Bodelicious who saved me today. A big thanks to Amanda who took my call at 8:30pm on Thursday night and arrived at 9am this morning to start.
I can't forget to also thank Leisha...my dear dear friend who I count on every month to look after Handmade Heaven when a market is on. Leisha will be there tomorrow while I am in Warwick, so head on down and say hi to Leish.
It is really nice to know that I have people in my life who care and who like to help out. I have never really had to ask for help before, but I had no worries in my mind. Both days were successful for foot traffic and also for sales...which is also refreshing to know that my full page ad works.
With Cooper on the mend, Me in Toowoomba heading to Warwick at 5am in the morning, I am glad that I got a post in. See, a true blogger...totally addicted.
I have so much to talk about on Tuesday, so keep an eye out for that one. We have specials, a draw of the beautiful Sophie Isobel Designer brooch (don't forget to ask to be in the draw if you make a purchase tomorrow) and a few new and wonderful handmadies on board.
Hope to see you tomorrow in Warwick..but if not...keep posted.

Its all about THE ADVERTISING!!! oh, and a win!
Hi Everyone.
I am so stoked to show you the advertising campaigns getting around this week.
It is a FULL page for Handmade Heaven shared with a full page ad for The Handmade Expo

The Top of Town brochure has also hit the streets. I am listed in the directory which is cool and hope to grace these pages in the next brochure. So, if you see one of these lying around, grab one and have a look through...some great things happening at The Top of Town.

I was also featured in The Ipswich Indy with this beauty of an editorial.

I am proud to announce that I am the lucky winner of this fabulous little notebook made by Felt Food Creations. How lucky am I? I am always writing notes and lists and messages, so this little beauty will come in very handy. Head on over to her website and check it out.

Well, thats all from me for now...I have a massive box to unload from Sweet Tea and Roses which I am going to have so much fun with.
Take care until tomorrow.

Markets, Screaming Child, Mag Subscriptions and a GIVEAWAY
Hi Everyone.
Well, I didn't post on Saturday cause I was inundated with customers...which is a fab excuse.
This post you will not find any photos...lots of interesting writing!
I had a really great weekend. Actually, I had a great week...fingers crossed that another great one will follow.
Sunday saw me head on down to the Portside Wharf Markets. Now,this is where the screaming child comes in. If you saw a mother trying to tackle a screaming child. That was Cooper and I. I am not sure why he was the way he was...do we ever really know? This is the first time that I have ever had to deal with this sort of situation. I thought I handled it quite well, but I was so glad that I was not there by myself. I would love to hear from you right now...how do you deal with your child when they are screaming, throwing themselves on the ground, don't touch me, don't look at me attitude! Keep in mind, Cooper is 16 months old. Prob going through the terrible 2's.
Now, back to the market. It was great to see Helen from Ruby2gogo, Lisa from Cute as Buttons, Deb from Fabricated, It was lovely to finally meet Jo from Lovestamp, Michelle from Vintage Visions, one of my fave Mags, Peppermint was there, Thea from Thea & Sami was there, Sharon from Shazzabeth Creations was also at the market selling her jewellery.
So many faces that I don't recognise but know in blogland...Mimoo (of which I purchased a pair of froggy pyjamas for the screaming Coops), Mondocherry selling their beautiful fabrics and paper designs. Kathryn Madigan with her beads and wire creations, Sandrine with her accessories with "Hatitude" and Cathy from Peg and Kate.
AND SO MANY MORE.
I am sorry if I missed any of you...
From there, we headed to a market called REFROCK, RECYCLE, REFASHON...BUT, when we got there, not a soal in site. I double checked everything before we left, but for some reason, it wasnt on..Not sure what the go was there. So, we walked to this little organic market, they were closing shop, but we managed to score a organic coffee, which was different, actually, the whole market was very different...not saying anymore.
From there, we headed to Paddington to check out all the fab second hand and vintage stores. This was great, oh and by the way, Cooper was a totally different little boy by now! We had some lunch and did some more shopping. We found some really cool vintage fabrics + I am always trying to source chenille bedspreads for Mum but they always say "they are right in the back of the storage shed...I will ring you when we can get to them"..so no luck on that front.
I am sorry that I didnt take photos...It is sooo hard when all you want to do is spend money and take lots of photos but you can't because.........
So, overall, a great weekend.
Magazines...I am addicted to 4 of them. Peppermint, Frankie, Lipmag and of course Mixtape. I am proud to announce that I have a subscription to each of these (apart from Mixtape which I sell in Handmade Heaven).
Now, to that giveaway...which is what I know that you are all waiting for...
Paula from Paula Fay Design is giving away a Modesty Mate every week in August.... If you are a breastfeeding Mum or know someone who is breastfeeding - head over to the website to check it out.
Well, thats all from me for now...
See you tomorrow.

ITS ALL ABOUT SOPHIE....OH AND A GIVEAWAY
Hi Everyone
Now, if I could have blogged yesterday after Sophie had left, I would have, but time permits and I think I would have been too much on a high to make sense.
How can I describe Sophie? Sophie is a bubbly bundle of fun. We are so alike, it is scary.

How often do you seriously get a hand delivery from Mildura (in Victoria for those of you who do not know...me being one of them). Not very often at all.

So, I am now stocking her wonderful brooches with the following sayings:
I HEART HANDMADE
I HEART VINTAGE
I HEART OWLS
I HEART POLKA DOTS
I HEART UPCYCLING
They are all made from funky, bright, awesome fabrics.
Here is the brooch that Sophie made for me. Just delightful. AND believe me, you can NEVER have enough!

Now, that brings me to my giveaway.
To be in the draw for this delicious brooch (I HEART HANDMADE), all you have to do is make a purchase from Handmade Heaven. Whether you come into the store to make that purchase or purchase something that you see on my blog in an online transaction. You can enter as many times as you like, however, there is a limit to 1 purchase per day which equals one entry per day. There is no minimum purchase amount. It starts today and will be drawn on Tuesday 21st July.

So, head on down, come and say hello and make a purchase to be in the draw for this awesome one of a kind brooch.
Happy shopping

Its all about PEPPERMINT a NEW HANDMADIE, VISITORS and SOPHIE
Hi Everyone
I just have to tell you that I have another addiction.
PEPPERMINT MAG. Look, I am a huge fan of Frankie and also of Mixtape now I can add this new and fab mag to the list.

I went to the Young Designer markets at Southbank on Sunday and what a fab market. An awesome outlet for young designers to sell and promote. So not only did I purchase Peppermint, I also made a couple of other purchases as well.
I could not help myself and have been meaning to buy one of these forever. A T-shirt transfer of SCOOTERGIRL from Ruby2gogo. Thanks Helen and of course will blog once transferred onto a t-shirt.

I also bought a beautiful skirt...which I can't take a photo of at the moment cause I am wearing it. But just an amazing feel, has amazing colours and just all round real comfy. I am generally not a skirt wearer, but there will be plenty more sightings of me in skirts now!
A big hello to Leanne Vincent. Leanne is a photographer and has taken the most amazing shots of Ipswich...in a different light. ROOFTOP SHOTS. They are amazing and are in card form. I am a huge fan of Leanne's.

I had some wonderful visitors in today...Nicole from Hot Toffee. Lovely to see you. Rowena from Elite Treats came in again with her Dad, Peter. Raewyn from Pegasus Creations came in to mix her space up a bit. Always very nice to see familiar faces and I am always up for a chat.
I would also like to annouce that Sophie from Sophie Isobel Deisgns is coming in to the shop tomorrow. No stalkers please!!! hee hee. All the way from Mildura.
If you are not aware of Sophie, she makes the most amazing brooches.. I wear one that says "I heart The Handmade Expo". I am so stoked to announce that I will be stocking her brooches in the shop with all sorts of sayings starting with "I HEART". There is a limited range, so, if you are really needing (not wanting...needing) one, they will def be in stock tomorrow arvo.

Well, 2 posts again in 1 day. OMG!
That is all from me for now.
Thanks again everyone for their positive vibes, comments, and visits.
See you tomorrow

Remember the PHOTO...
Hi Erveyone
Remember a couple of days ago, I had the Queensland Times newspaper come into the shop and take a photo and I just wasnt sure when it was going to be used. Well, it was in TODAYS paper and it was the most amazing artcicle. A big thanks to Ashely Jones.

While I am posting, let me share with you some more handmadies that have come in to set up their spaces.
Ellie from RocknWrap came in yesterday with her amazing jewellery..a great way to explain it is her rock n wrap jewellery. Great name and depicts exactly what she does. Unique wire wrapped pendants is another perfect way to describe her work.

Rachael from Violet Spice bought in her amazing kiddies clothes this morning. Cooper is also a fan of her work. A touch of vintage in some of her outfits. Caters for both little girls and little boys.

Well, thats all from me for today. I wasnt planning on doing a post today, but of course, I couldnt help myself.

Hi Everyone
This is my final post today..I promise.
I really wanted to show off some new and fabulous handmadies within Handmade Heaven:
Say hello to Debbie from Made By The Heart. Debbie is very much into country craft and makes these most amazing dolls and bears. She also specialises in tea towels and those fab plastic bag holders that every kitchen should have:

A big warm welcome to Cheryl from Paper with a Twist. All of Charyl's jewellery is made from paper beads which have been waterproofed. They come in sets or on their own. They are just delightful and each one is designed and made by Cheryl. I was gobsmacked when I saw them.

A big yummy hello to these fabulous Jellies. A big thanks to Rowena Ross from Elite Treats for adorning Handmade Heaven with these sweets. There are 8 different flavours and yes, I am going to list them all for you: Pineapple, Spearmint, Orange, Musk, Rose, Lemon, Peppermint & Mango. Surely will cater for EVERY taste.

Here is a new addition to the Love, Marriage, Baby Carriage Gifts range. This beautiful little addition can be found amongst her amazing baby carriages and other assortment of creative new born baby gifts.

I had to change our wonderful model around (actually, she now has a name)...OLIVE, thanks to Lynda from Rainbow Threads. Remember Olive from Pop Eye? Anyhow, Olive is wearing a fabulous hat made by Christine from Maudie's Millinery together with 2 bags. 1 is made by Kerry which is made from place mats and the other is made by Miriam from Bubba Chenille This beautiful pink bag is of course made from up cycled chenille bedspreads.

Well lovelies, that is all from me for now.
Tomorrow is Saturday and I know it is going to be a great day. I also wish everyone a fabulous day who is attending, either as a customer or a stallholder the Brisstyle market at Hamilton. AND, one more reminder about not forgetting to place a nomination vote for Handmade Heaven for the Best New Business Achiever Awards..Ipswich..2009.
Have a fab weekend everyone and I look forward to bringing you more heavenly goodness next week.

More wonderful HANDMADIES
Hi Everyone.
WHAT? 2 posts in 1 day, am I Crazy.
No...this is what happens when I miss one day of blogging!
I would like to introduce you to Eva Fritz from Kidz on Canvas
Eva paints canvases and my, what a great job she does.
These will be hung on the wall in Handmade Heaven, but Eva is also displaying her wonderful kids (both boys and girls) canvases in a space as well...so you do have a variety to choose from.
Thanks Eva for bringing colour to Handmade Heaven.

Kylie and Gay from Hayley's Garden have an assortment of fabulous goodies. Kylie does the beautiful handmade cards...every occassion that you can think of, she also makes embellishments, so if you are into making papercraft, you can grab some of these as well. Gay makes the most delicious pickles and jams. Oh and I cant forget the personalised pillows as well.

I was lucky enough to have an interview with Micky from Handmadies Head on over and have a read..a bit of an insight into Handmade Heaven. Why not follow her blog as well, lots of interesting articles will no doubt be filling her blog. Thanks Micky for picking me for an interview.
Well, thats it from me for now...No, serisously, it is!
TTFN (ta ta for now)...Linda from Lilly Cottage has given me permission to use this phrase :)

Lots of Pink
Hello Everyone
Yesterday came Michelle from Vintage Visions. Michelle has a stall at all The Handmade Expos and she has decided to lease some space within Handmade Heaven. We are proud to announce that we are the exclusive stockists in Ipswich. Linda from Lilly Cottage at Old Petrie town is also stocking her beautiful jewellery. From earrings to rings to hair clips and necklaces, these items are very different and fabulous. You really have to see it in person to appreciate it.

How popular are these napkins from Sweet Tea and Roses? They have an assortment of shabby accessories. From babies to toddlers to adults. They really do cater for a wide range of customers.

These also belong to Sweet Tea and Roses. These are pencil rolls...HOW COOL? I wish these were around when I was at school. They probably were, but thought UNCOOL. Well, now they are so COOL.

Christine from Maudies Millinery is showcasing her hats, fascinators and even hat boxes in Handmade Heaven. You also need to see her work in real life to appreciate everything she does.

I was so stoked when Jody from SticknGiggle gave me this gift last week. A framed work of art. A big thanks to Jodes. For all of your scrapbooking needs, head to SticknGiggle. Right next door to me!. How lucky am I to have such a great neighbour?

Pegasus Creations have showcased their wonderful jewellery. From everyday wear to wedding jewellery. This is only a small amount of what they do. They also do adults clothing, alterations and mending and sports wear. Here is a sneak peak of what is on offer at Handmade Heaven

I am not sure if you know, but I am a massive fan of Cute as Buttons and it seems that there are a few more out there to. We are also exclusive stockists in Ipswich of this fabulous brand. Check out this cute little t-shirt with a cupcake (of course). Everything has a button on it...Just love it. They also cater for little boys as well.

I know that this isnt pink, but I had to show you this beautiful handbag. Kerry makes handbags from placemats. She has a huge assortment of colours and textures. You can find Kerry's bags on the ladder in Handmade Heaven.

Well, thats all from me for now. It has taken me about 4 days to get this post together, but it is here and I hope that you enjoy. Please remember, if you see something that you like and you can't get into the shop, I am more than happy to do a transaction over the phone or on email. We dont want you to miss out.
See you tomorrow.
